Go to town in afternoon to see fete (celebrated throughout France, commemorating taking of the Bastille).  Wet afternoon. Visit Mme Blampean,  M. Polampan arrives at 11.30 pm.

Go to town to pay for piano.  5/- to Lena.

11th July (Sunday)

Visit museum and cathedral with Mme Blampean, Leontine and Marcel.  Buy chocolate in shop, served by a woman with a beard.  Visit Leontine's Grandma.  Unload revolver (!!),  listen to musical box.
Scotch troops pass.  receive badges Royal A.  Pleasant evening at farm.
