Plant large rose tree.  Heavy work with convoy party,  all last night,  evacuate all possible.  Lusitania torpedoed, 1457 lost, 703 saved.  Convoys 85 (24 Gas).

6th May 1915

Heard of the crucifixion of a Sgt Major of the Canadians by the Germans.
11 German wounded leave for Le Havre, accompanied by Mr D to Le Portel to say goodbye.  Convoy 21 (2 Gas).

5th May 1915

Plant 2 fuchsias and ivy geraniums.  Receive letter and pencil from Emilie.  Wrote to Edwin, Lena and Arthur this evening.  Receive 10 German wounded.  Convoy 45 (14 Gas).

4th May 1915

Receive 1 German wounded.  Visit Boulogne and Le Portel in evening, very warm day.  Convoy 43 (11 Gas)

3rd May 1915

Plant large fuchsia.  Visit Le Portel 6 am, low tide, very warm day. Watch shrimpers at work.  Convoy 65 (5 Gas)
