Marked for R.A.M.C. Base Details (at Le Havre, but not immediately), arrive at 2.30pm.  Visited No.1Conv Depot with Sgt Russel on bicycles.  Fine sunny day.  Long talk with Capt J.W. Houston.  The Sgts' Base Detail are very fortunate in having an excellent cook, specially enlisted, he has a son in the Army.  He bought an outfit tinkling he would be employed at a hospital at home.  Had an excellent tea and supper at improvised table, al fresco!
