1st October 1914

Have felt very heavy in limbs down here and slight pains in shoulder and legs.  Heavy firing out at sea heard this morning but don't know the reason.  Spent the afternoon on the sea shore.  Photos around No.12 General Hosp. St Nazaire taken.  Post Card to Lena.
